We conducted focused sessions and focused discussions on how we could reduce the employees’ screen time whenever it was not required and how could we increase the output of the time which they were spending on digital. The number of hours which they are spending on screen has become very high. ![]() One of the drawbacks of all these things is increased time in the employees’ screen presence. So, I think the kind of changes which we went through in 2020 was huge. Again, we tried to do it completely digital, the whole exit clearance, taking the assets back from the employee using our admin teams if the employee was within the city limits or through a courier service if the employee was living outside the city limit. So, we said let's bring a tool which will help us to go down to each and every employee, and whatever they want to speak, let them come to us anonymously. ![]() Normally, you get the voices of those people who are very vocal. When you grow big, we are almost like one-third of 55,000 employees in India, it becomes difficult to get major voices. We also conducted regular feedback surveys to understand the engagement level of our employees, their mental state and the kind of things which they were asking for. We did these different kinds of things to ensure the physical health and mental wellbeing of our employees. We also did a tie-up with Sanjay Mitra who brought the mindfulness sessions for our employees. Then for mental peace, we did a tie-up with Isha Foundation and we brought their yoga sessions for our employees. Then we tied-up with Beacon Health which provided 24x7 one-on-one expert counselling sessions to our employees. It's a global platform where you can do different kinds of activities and attend different kinds of sessions. The second thing which we introduced was Virgin Pulse. So, the first thing we did was, we introduced a telemedicine platform through a company called Practo, for all our employees who could interact with any doctor and could get any medicine at home. And when I'm talking about health, I'm not only talking about the physical health, but I'm also talking about the mental health of our employees. So, we said this is one area where we need to do multiple things. There was not much of relaxation and everybody's screen time had increased quite a lot. There was nothing else which was happening and they were not able to go out. The only people they interacted with were their immediate family members in their house and they saw them day in and day out. They did not have physical interaction with other people, or even with their colleagues. The only thing they were doing was working. I think the biggest challenge in the year 2020 was ensuring the health and safety of our employees working in a remote environment. We had a huge success in learning in the last 7-8 months.įrom there, let me move forward with our employee engagement initiative. So, all those learning sessions could be attended from home. ![]() It’s very fast, very easy and very seamless kind of thing. About LinkedIn Learning, the best thing is you can do the sessions using your mobile phone. Moving to learning and development, I think one of the biggest initiatives which we took in 2020 was bringing in LinkedIn Learning and Saba Learning platform (WeLearn). It was a good thing for FIS that in 2019 we had moved to a new performance management system, which made the process very-very smooth. From there, let's move into performance management. ![]()
